Managers Don't Like Intermittent FMLA Leave

If you or a close family member have a serious health condition and meet the eligibility requirements of the Family Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), you may be eligible for intermittent leave from work.   Intermittent leave can be taken a day at a time or even an hour at a time, if properly certified. Since the eligible employee is entitled to up to 12 weeks of leave, taking it in small time increments can allow an employee
to stretch the 12 weeks over the entire year of eligibility.
